外交部長林佳龍於5月1日舉辦的AI與半導體產業前瞻論壇中表示，台灣已被列入美國關稅談判的首批名單。他指出，台灣與美國在貿易及科技合作上有著高度共識，美國市場是台灣的重要競技場，因此台灣半導體產業將繼續在此發展。
林佳龍還提到，台美合作在人工智慧等新興科技領域中有望取得更大成效，台灣要跟著美國步伐成為全球化的「贏者圈」，把群聚效應發揮到最大。
Taiwan-US Tariff Progress: Taiwan in the First Negotiation List
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lin Chia-lung, stated at the AI and Semiconductor Industry Forum held on May 1st that Taiwan is in the first group for U.S. tariff negotiations. Taiwan-US Friendship Strengthens: Legislators Meet with Pelosi
On May 2, a group of Taiwanese legislators visited the United States and met with former Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi.The meeting focused on China’s fake origin labeling and Taiwan’s chip exports. The legislators told the US how important it is to stop high-end chips from going to China. They said this might be a business issue for the US, but it is a security issue for Taiwan. Pelosi also said that Taiwan-US relations will not change because of recent staff changes, and the US will keep supporting Taiwan’s security, economy, and democracy.

CIA Director John Ratcliffe said the hotline is open and stressed that all talks will be private, encouraging Chinese people to reach out. These videos are available on platforms like YouTube and Telegram, hoping to bypass China’s “Great Firewall” and reach more people.
