第一則：Chrome將停止信任中華電信憑證 數發部積極應對
Google宣布，自今年8月1日起，Chrome瀏覽器將停止信任中華電信簽發的傳輸層安全通訊協定（TLS）憑證。中華電信解釋，移除原因是部分程序未能在Google規定的時限內完成，但今年7月31日前發行的憑證不受影響，在一年效期內都可正常使用，相關調整預計於明年3月完成。
數發部則表示，將持續優化憑證政策與技術，強化政府網站資訊安全，確保民眾能安心使用數位服務。
Chrome Stops Trusting Chunghwa Telecom’s Certificates, Digital Ministry Responds
Google announced that starting August 1, the Chrome browser will no longer trust TLS certificates issued by Chunghwa Telecom. Chunghwa Telecom explained that this is because some processes were not completed in time to meet Google’s requirements. However, certificates issued before July 31, 2025, will not be affected and can still be used during their one-year validity. The adjustments are expected to be finished by March 2026.
The Ministry of Digital Affairs said it will keep improving certificate policies and technology to strengthen the security of government websites and ensure the public can use digital services safely.

中部環保團體於6月2日揭露，台中火力發電廠有五部燃煤機組未取得市府的操作許可證，仍依據空汙法繼續發電。

Five Units at Taichung Power Plant Run without Permits
On June 2, central Taiwan environmental groups revealed that five coal-fired units at the Taichung Power Plant are running without permits from the city government. They continue to operate under the Air Pollution Control Act.
Taichung Mayor Lu Shiow-yen criticized the government for “breaking the rules themselves” and called for changes to the law to stop this. Taipower said coal use at the plant has dropped a lot and all units follow the law. Environmental experts said the real issue is with national energy policies and that local governments need stronger control.

The White House Says Trump and Xi Jinping May Talk This Week
On June 3, White House officials said that Trump and Xi Jinping might talk this week to reduce tensions caused by blaming each other for breaking the tariff reduction deal. Recently, the U.S. accused China of not keeping its promise to loosen controls on rare earth exports, while China criticized the U.S. for restricting exports of key jet engine parts, chip design software, and the use of Huawei chips.
Trump thinks direct talks are needed to solve problems, but Xi prefers to handle issues through his advisors. The trade truce is now close to breaking, causing worry in global markets.

哈佛大學《AI Index 2025》報告指出，AI 技術需求在多產業中快速增長，生成式 AI 的使用率從2023年的33%大幅提升至2024年的71%。其中，AI 對初階員工的生產力提升效果最為顯著，遠高於資深員工。

The Harvard University “AI Index 2025” report shows that the demand for AI is growing quickly across many industries. The use of generative AI increased from 33% in 2023 to 71% in 2024. AI has the biggest impact on improving productivity for junior employees, much more than for senior staff.
It also affects cognitive tasks like writing, logical thinking, and organizing data more than management or administrative work, continuing to change the workplace.
