教育部於6月24日公開明年行事曆。原定第2學期將於2月11日開學，並在上課3天後再放春節假期，引起家長不滿。
經討論後，教育部決議改於寒假前補課三天，讓寒假可直接銜接春假，從1月21日開始放假至2月19日。教育部表示，此舉旨在減少假期分段對家長與學校安排的影響，並提前公布時程，讓各方有充足時間準備。
Ministry of Education Decides: Winter Break Will Connect to Lunar New Year
The Ministry of Education announced next year’s school calendar on June 24. Originally, the second semester was planned to start on February 11, with three days of classes before the Lunar New Year holiday. This plan upset many parents.
After discussions, the Ministry decided to add three makeup class days before the winter break. This change allows the winter break to directly connect to the Lunar New Year holiday, running from January 21 to February 19. The Ministry said this adjustment is to reduce problems caused by split holidays for parents and schools. The schedule was announced early to give everyone enough time to prepare.

當初將美國總統川普提名諾貝爾和平獎的烏克蘭國會外交委員會主席梅列日科，近日已撤回提名，背後的決定性原因是川普近期公開主張削減對烏克蘭的軍事與經濟援助，並提議讓俄羅斯保留克里米亞以結束俄烏衝突。
梅列日科表示，和平不應以犧牲一國領土為代價，並強調川普的舉動已損害了烏克蘭的主權和抗俄的努力。
Ukraine Withdraws Trump’s Nobel Peace Prize Nomination
Oleksandr Merezhko, the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy of Ukraine, who first nominated U.S. President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, has now withdrawn the nomination. The main reason is Trump’s recent comments about cutting military and financial aid to Ukraine and suggesting Russia keep Crimea to end the conflict.
Merezhko said peace should not come by giving up a country’s land and added that Trump’s actions have hurt Ukraine’s sovereignty and efforts to fight against Russia.

因應中東局勢升溫，美軍將3個航艦打擊群從印太調往中東，引發國會議員對美國是否能持續關注印太地區的擔憂。海軍代理作戰部長基爾比在聽證會上掛保證，強調美國海軍具高度機動性，必要時可迅速在短時間內部署航艦至印太。
他同時指出，中國海軍規模持續擴大。他強調，中國的軍事擴張與野心對美國及其印太盟友構成挑戰，美軍將保持警戒以應對相關威脅。
U.S. Sends 3 Aircraft Carriers to Middle East, Causing Worries
Due to rising tensions in the Middle East, the U.S. has moved three aircraft carriers from the Indo-Pacific to the Middle East. This has led to concerns from lawmakers about whether the U.S. can still focus on the Indo-Pacific region. The acting chief of naval operations Admiral James W. Kilby said at the hearing that the U.S. Navy is very flexible and can quickly send aircraft carriers to the Indo-Pacific if needed.
Kilby also mentioned that China’s navy is growing fast, and this expansion is a challenge for the U.S. and its allies in the Indo-Pacific. He assured that the U.S. military will stay alert to deal with these threats.
