台北市前副市長彭振聲捲入京華城容積率弊案，原定於7月1日出庭勘驗偵訊光碟，但開庭前接獲妻子墜樓身亡的噩耗。他當庭崩潰痛哭，指責檢察官「良心在哪裡」，並坦言先前認罪是為爭取交保讓妻子安心，如今妻子過世，自己已無顧慮。
彭振聲數度哭喊不想活了，最終在律師與弟弟陪同下離開法院，趕回高雄處理後事，法院隨即取消當日的偵訊勘驗程序。
Former Taipei Deputy Mayor Pong Cheng-sheng 's Wife Falls to Her Death, Breaks Down in Court
Former Taipei Deputy Mayor Pong Cheng-sheng, involved in the Living Mall zoning case, was supposed to attend court on July 1 to review interrogation recordings. However, before the hearing started, he received the tragic news that his wife had fallen to her death. Pong broke down in tears in court, accusing the prosecutor of being heartless. He admitted that he had confessed earlier to get bail and comfort his wife. Now that his wife has passed away, he said he has nothing left to care about.
Pong cried out many times that he did not want to live anymore. In the end, with his lawyer and brother by his side, he left the court to return to Kaohsiung to handle his wife’s funeral, and the court then canceled the planned review for the day.
