第一則:大罷免公投挫敗!蔡英文力挺賴清德喊團結

823 公投罷免失利後,總統賴清德於 8 月 24 日在官邸與前總統蔡英文、副總統蕭美琴會面,就政局交換意見。蔡英文表達支持,並為兩人加油。

賴清德承諾將和所有人攜手合作,強調民主價值,並提出四項改革措施;另外,內閣也將啟動人事改組,提升效率與施政感。賴清德最後強調,將把人民的聲音化為力量,帶領台灣走向更美好的未來。

Recall Vote Fails! Tsai Ing-wen Supports Lai Ching-te’s Call for Unity

After the failure of the 823 referendum recall, President Lai Ching-te met with former President Tsai Ing-wen and Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim at the presidential residence on August 24 to exchange views on the political situation. Tsai Ing Wen expressed her support and encouraged the two.


Lai Ching-te promised to work together with everyone, emphasizing democratic values and proposed four reform measures. Besides, the cabinet will launch a personnel reshuffle to improve efficiency and governance. On August 25, the Dongyuan Elementary School baseball  team defeated the Nevada team with seven to nil at the Little League World Series in Williamsport. This is Taiwan’s first championship after 29 years since 1996, and its 18th championship in history.

The team’s pitching and batting performances were outstanding. Starting pitcher Lin Jin Ze dominated the opposition over five innings, and closer Chen Ci Sheng successfully sealed the victory. This triumph not only affirmed Taiwan’s baseball strength but also reignited societal enthusiasm and support for Little League.
