第一則:台美貿易談判進入收尾 半導體與關稅成焦點

《彭博》報導,台灣經貿談判代表上週赴華盛頓,與美方討論降低20%關稅、台灣投資以及半導體優惠待遇。行政院長卓榮泰表示,談判已進入「關鍵收尾階段」。

副院長鄭麗君10月1日返台受訪指出,討論焦點包括爭取調降對等關稅、232條款相關優惠等議題,並強調「晶片五五分」只是美方想法,台灣並未承諾。

Taiwan-US Trade Talks Near Final Stage, Chips and Tariffs in Focus

Bloomberg reports that Taiwan trade negotiators went to Washington last week to discuss lowering the 20% tariff, Taiwan’s investment, and special treatment for semiconductors with the US side. Premier Cho Jung-Tai said the talks have entered the “key final stage.”

Deputy Premier Cheng Li-Chun, who returned to Taiwan on October 1, said the focus was on reducing reciprocal tariff and issues related to Section 232 tariff benefits. She stressed that the “50-50 chip split” was only an idea from the US, and Taiwan never made such a promise. 

第二則:全真瑜珈宣告破產 上萬會員受害

新加坡連鎖「全真瑜珈健身」10月1日宣布停業,全台13家分店、上萬會員受影響。台北市法務局指出,截至9月30日已受理超過千件消費爭議,並要求陽信銀行暫緩移轉約2億1,200萬元信託資金。

全真表示,公司因疫情與經濟衝擊長期虧損,將進入破產清算,會員可依法申請退費。消保官提醒,刷卡者應儘快向發卡銀行爭議申請,現金購課者可向法院聲請支付命令。

True Yoga Fitness Declares Bankruptcy, Thousands of Members Affected

The Singapore fitness chain “True Yoga Fitness” announced on October 1 that it would close, affecting 13 branches in Taiwan and over ten thousand members. The Department of Legal Affairs said that by September 30 it had received more than one thousand consumer disputes and asked Sunny Bank to freeze about 2.12 billion in trust funds.

True Yoga Fitness said the company suffered long-term losses from the pandemic and weak economy, and will enter bankruptcy liquidation. Members can apply for refunds by law. Consumer protection officers reminded that credit card payments should file disputes with the bank, while cash payments can request a court order.

勞動部決議自明年1月1日起,最低月薪由28,590元調升至29,500元,漲幅3.18%,將創下連續十年調漲紀錄。行政院長卓榮泰9月30日於立法院表示,十年來最低月薪總調幅已達47.4%,時薪調幅更達63.3%,未來還要持續提升。

他強調,政府將推動產業升級、薪資透明化與企業加薪措施,相信再過一年,最低工資就能突破3萬元,展現維護勞工權益的決心。

Minimum Wage Rises for Ten Years in a Row, Premier Cho: It May Reach NT$30,000 in 2027

The Ministry of Labor decided that from next year on January 1, , the minimum monthly wage will rise from NT$28,590 to NT$29,500, an increase of 3.18%. This will set a record of ten consecutive years of wage hikes. Premier Cho Jung-Tai said at the Legislative Yuan on September 30 that in the past ten years, the total increase of the monthly minimum wage has reached 47.4%, and the hourly wage has risen 63.3%. He added that wages will continue to increase.

He stressed that the government will push industrial upgrades, wage transparency, and company pay raises. He believes that in another year, the minimum wage can break NT$30,000, showing the government’s determination to protect workers’ rights.
