Minister of Labor Hung Sun-Han said on October 14 that the case of an EVA Air flight attendant who died after working while ill is still under investigation. Taiwan High Speed Rail Removes “Quiet Car” Signs, Adjusts Public Messaging
Taiwan High Speed Rail said it has removed the “Quiet Car” signs from seat backs and replaced them with new cards reading “Wonderful HSR, Traveling in Peace.” The company will also redesign how the policy is promoted.
THSRC explained that the rule mainly targets passengers who talk on the phone or use electronic devices without headphones, and it does not mean that making sounds is forbidden. The company emphasized it will keep listening to family travelers, improve staff communication skills, avoid misunderstandings, and provide necessary assistance.
