On March 24, Numbeo released the “2025 Global Safety Index,” ranking Taiwan 4th among nearly 150 countries and regions with a score of 82.9. Taiwan trails only Andorra, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar, while surpassing Singapore (9th) and Japan (10th). This ranking highlights Taiwan’s excellent performance in public safety and sense of security, which plays a key role in attracting international tourists, foreign investments, and boosting its global image. Venezuela, with a score of 19.3, was ranked as the most dangerous country.
